Laminate Flooring - The Costs
Simply take the following steps to work out how much your floor will cost you. Price includes fitting and includes a foam underlay.
Measure your room or rooms and get a size in square metres (Length of room multiplied by the width)
For a budget floor (usually a 5 year guarantee), multiply the size of your room by £12 and add £10/door for the thereshold strips. For the edging strips, add £3/linear metre (the distance around the room).
For a mid range floor (usually a 10 year guarantee), multiply the size of your room by £15 and add £10/door for the thereshold strips. For the edging strips, add £4/linear metre (the distance around the room).
For a water resistant floor (usually a 10 year guarantee), multiply the size of your room by £20 and add £10/door for the thereshold strips. For the edging strips, add £4/linear metre (the distance around the room).
Example:
For a 4m x 3m room with 2 doors a mid range price would be 12(3x4) x £15 + £20 = £200 plus about £35 for the edging.
Total price = £230
